Johnna Schmidt began working for Hecht and Norman in March 2000. Johnna graduated from the University of Oregon in 2001 with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish; during her time at university, Johnna was an active International Honor Society Member of Alpha Kappa Delta. Johnna’s strong interest in multiculturalism and desire to work with individuals from different parts of the world made a career in the field of immigration a natural fit.

Johnna seeks out opportunities to help in her community and has volunteered at the Eugene Teen Court, the Skipworth Juvenile Detention Center (now known as John Serbu Youth Campus), as an ESL assistant, and on the Parent Teacher Organization for her sons’ schools. Johnna has traveled on a number of occasions to Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, and throughout the United States.
